Amanda Ponzini
LMFT | Therapist
My goal as a Marriage and Family Therapist is to provide a safe, peaceful, and non-judgmental environment to help foster my client’s growth and healing. My approach is grounded in the belief that interpersonal relationships are one of the most important factors leading to personal happiness, as they play a significant role and influence an individual’s thought patterns and behaviors. I am committed to working with my clients to break dysfunctional cycles and unhealthy generational patterns to reach their goals and become the best version of themselves. I aim to work collaboratively with my clients with a strength-based approach to sustain long-lasting change in their lives.
I received my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central Connecticut State University. I have experience working with families, couples, children, and adults, across the lifespan who struggle with relational issues, life transitions, and parenting. I have treated people with symptoms related to a variety of mental health diagnoses such as depression, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, and anxiety disorders; as well as helping them learn coping skills to manage their symptoms.
Engaging in the process of therapy is a courageous endeavor that I highly admire. Allowing yourself to be open and willing to share your life, your patterns, and emotions with another takes strength and vulnerability. It is this strength and bravery that makes therapy transformational. I am here to hold space for all that you bring to our sessions. I would be honored to help guide you through your journey and transformation
