LMFT | Therapist
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I believe that bringing your authentic self to life is important for connection and growth. I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2017 and have practiced in outpatient and school settings with clients aged 6 through adulthood. In the outpatient setting, I have extensive knowledge of a variety of presenting problems and symptoms including trauma, anger, depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I also have experience working with relational issues, life transitions, and gender and sexuality identity. In the school setting, I facilitated group and individual therapy for children in grades K-12 that have experienced stressful and/or traumatic events.
I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and have worked with a wide range of traumatic situations including sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, neglect, substance use, and grief/loss. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS), Bounce Back!, Trauma Affect Regulation: Guide for Education and Therapy (TARGET), Gottman Couple’s Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I utilize components of these models with the Experiential family therapy theory and Solution Focused techniques to create a plan that works best for each client’s unique personality, situation, and needs.
I strive to create a safe and open space for individuals and families to process life’s challenges with the support of a therapist that is ready to help guide them to a new beginning. I believe that when I foster a place where both the client and I can bring our authentic selves and have open dialogue real change can lead to growth.
