Briley Skeen

LMSW | Therapist

I am a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) through the Connecticut Department of Public Health working towards achieving my clinical license. I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from Fordham University and began working in Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) where I treat substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Throughout my college and professional career, I have supported high schoolers and adults facing a multitude of stressors including substance use, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. I also have extensive experience working in faith-based communities and organizations. Despite the obstacle they are facing, my goal with clients is to help them achieve a fulfilling and meaningful life.

I utilize Motivational Interviewing (MI) and a strengths-based perspective to practice Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques. Regardless of the techniques I apply, my core belief as a clinician is to take a holistic approach to wellness and recovery and I look forward to working with you!
