I completed my undergraduate social work degree at the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford. Several years later, I then chose to continue my education with the University of Connecticut, achieving my Masters in social work. I have worked in the field of social work for 13 years. In that time, I have gained experience working with adolescents, children, adults and the 65+ community.

My approach to treatment is focused on creating a strong therapeutic alliance, while providing a safe collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected and supported in their goals. I utilize a strength-based approach while helping clients discover who they are and what their treatment goals are. I have a strong belief in the dignity and worth of every person and I am committed to empowering individuals through compassionate support, advocacy and evidence-informed practice. I strive to build trusting relationships and help individuals navigate life’s challenges with confidence and hope.

Some of the social work interventions I have used in practice are the miracle question, motivational interviewing, CBT worksheets, active listening, journaling, mindfulness and more. I am hopeful that you will allow me to help you manage whatever life challenges you may be experiencing.
