Thomas Fowler

LPCA | Therapist

I believe every person has inherent strengths and the capacity to grow, heal, and create a meaningful life, even during times of uncertainty or struggle. My approach is rooted in humanistic principles and guided by the belief that people are more than a diagnosis or the challenges they are facing. I strive to understand each person within the context of their lived experiences, relationships, and values. Therapy is a collaborative process where we can slow things down, make sense of what feels heavy, increase self-awareness, and work toward meaningful change that aligns with your goals and what matters most to you.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) in Connecticut under clinical supervision. My clinical experience includes community behavioral health, case management, and co-occurring treatment settings, where I have supported adults navigating mental health concerns, substance use, and life's complex challenges.

I take an integrative approach to counseling, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and strengths-based, holistic perspectives. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, co-occurring challenges, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood while also developing practical skills and insights that foster meaningful, lasting change beyond the therapy room.
