Alyssa Arnista
LMSW | Therapist
As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Connecticut, I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Connecticut and have experience working with adults navigating a wide range of mental health concerns. I have experience supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and interpersonal relationship concerns.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered. I believe that clients are equal participants in the therapeutic process and that therapy should be tailored to each individual’s unique needs, goals, and experiences. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based therapy, while remaining flexible in my approach.
I strive to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and exploring the challenges they are facing. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, build confidence and self-esteem, develop effective coping skills, strengthen their relationships, and feel empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I will meet you where you are while supporting you as you work toward your goals.
