Elissa Selander
LMFT | Therapist
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience providing outpatient, school-based, individual, groups, and family therapy. I earned my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) in 2021 and have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.
I take a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach, using CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and other evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs. I have completed trainings in CBITS, Bounce Back, and Trauma Affect Regulation: Guide for Education and Therapy (TARGET), and am informed in Internal Family Systems (IFS).
I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. I work with clients to build coping skills, strengthen relationships, increase confidence, and develop greater resilience. My main goal is to help clients feel empowered while navigating life’s challenges and working toward meaningful growth.
